The FILA Capsule – Summary

The FILA Capsule is the e-magazine of the Eastern India Philatelists’ Association (EIPA), Bhubaneswar, an organisation affiliated with the Philatelic Congress of India. EIPA

• First published: January–February 2006, as Volume 1, No. 1.
• Founding editor: Mr Ajit Dash, assisted by Mr Chittaranjan Das and Mr A.K. Raut.
• The publication initially circulated privately among EIPA members.
• It received recognition at ORPEX 2006 and later won a Bronze Medal in the Literature Class at INPEX 2008.
• Publication continued through 2010, after which it stopped because of unavoidable circumstances.
• Relaunched: April 2023 as a quarterly e-magazine, with Dr Bibhudatta Mishra leading the editorial team.
• From January 2024: It became a bimonthly publication following positive reception.
• From 2025: It transitioned to a monthly e-magazine, with an additional four Hindi pages.
• The publication provides a platform for philatelic knowledge, research, articles and information relevant to collectors and philatelists. EIPA

EIPA in brief

EIPA was established on 14 July 1998 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and has promoted philately for more than 25 years. The association has more than 200 life members across different Indian states and has organised or participated in numerous state and national philatelic exhibitions and activities. EIPA
